3. Categories of Cookies We Use
The consent banner on sahayogi.in groups cookies and similar technologies into three categories. Your consent determines which of the optional categories are active on your device.
3.1 Strictly Necessary
Require your consent: No — these are always on and cannot be switched off in the banner.
These are required for the site to work and to protect it from abuse. They do not collect information that could be used for marketing.
What they do:
- Remember your cookie consent choice
- Give the Sahayogi AI chat assistant on this site an anonymous identifier so that its rate limit applies per visitor and the assistant cannot be abused
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. Sign-in sessions for the Sahayogi products themselves are set by those products when you sign in to them, and are strictly necessary for the same reason.
3.2 Analytics
Require your consent: Yes. Nothing in this category loads or is set until you allow analytics in the banner.
This category measures how visitors use sahayogi.in — for example how many different visitors came on a day and which pages were read. The information is used in aggregate to improve the site.
What they do:
- Count unique visitors per day (the visitor counter in the footer)
- Count page views with a cookieless analytics script (Plausible), where that script is enabled for the site
The data collected is anonymous or pseudonymous. We do not use it to identify you personally.
If you do not accept this category, none of the above is loaded, and we cannot measure how the site is used.
3.3 Marketing
Require your consent: Yes. The banner records whether you allow this category.
sahayogi.in does not currently set any marketing cookie. We do not use cookies to serve you advertising on other websites and we do not share cookie data with advertising networks. If we add a marketing cookie in future, it will stay switched off unless you allow this category, and this Policy will list it before it is used.
5. Third-Party Services That May Set Cookies
Besides the cookies listed above, the following third-party services connected with sahayogi.in or the Sahayogi products may set cookies or use similar technologies:
Cloudflare Turnstile — A bot check that can appear on the contact form on sahayogi.in. It loads from challenges.cloudflare.com and is subject to Cloudflare’s privacy and cookie policies.
Microsoft (Microsoft 365, Azure) — Used within Sahayogi Cloud. Microsoft may set cookies for authentication and service delivery. Subject to Microsoft’s Privacy and Cookie policies.
Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — Chat with Sahayogi uses Meta’s WhatsApp Business API. Meta may use cookies or tracking technologies associated with the API integration. Subject to Meta’s Privacy Policy.
Sahayogi does not control how third-party services use cookies. We encourage you to review the cookie policies of third-party services where relevant.
6. Your Cookie Choices and Consent
6.1 Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit sahayogi.in, you will see a cookie consent banner. This banner allows you to:
- Accept all — allows analytics and marketing in addition to the strictly necessary storage
- Reject non-essential — strictly necessary storage only; analytics and marketing stay off
- Customize — choose analytics and marketing individually (both are off by default in this view)
Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under the name sahayogi-in:consent:v1 (listed in Section 4), not as a cookie. After 12 months, or when this Policy changes materially, you will be asked for consent again.
6.2 Changing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of sahayogi.in. This opens the consent management panel where you can adjust which categories are active.
6.3 Browser Controls
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View the cookies stored on your device
- Delete all or specific cookies
- Block all cookies or cookies from specific sites
- Be notified when a cookie is set
How to manage cookies in common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note: Disabling all cookies via browser settings will prevent strictly necessary cookies from working and may cause Sahayogi products to malfunction or become inaccessible.
6.4 Opting Out of Analytics
Analytics stays off unless you allow it. If you have allowed it and want to stop, open “Cookie Settings” in the footer and choose “Withdraw consent” (or switch analytics off and save). The site then stops loading the analytics script and the visitor counter, and removes the __svid cookie from your browser.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Sahayogi currently does not alter its cookie behaviour in response to DNT signals, as there is no universally agreed standard for interpreting them. We rely instead on the explicit consent mechanism described in Section 6.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new products, integrate new third-party services, or change how we use cookies. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
For material changes, we will display a new consent banner so you can review and re-confirm your preferences.
